I AM...
an alumna of Texas Christian University. I had two majors (Modern Language Studies in French & Writing) and a minor in Italian. I am also an honors program associate. I chose TCU for many reasons, and I very much appreciated that choosing TCU kept me close to my family. I grew up only 35 minutes away from TCU, but going to TCU helped me travel further than I'd ever traveled before. Fortune blessed me when I traveled abroad to Rome, Italy in the summer of 2008. I loved being there and would return to Italy in an instant. My experiences in Rome deepened my passion for working with languages. This love of words showed in my part-time work at the TCU Barnes & Noble, where I began working in January of 2009 and continued working for seven months after graduation.

Most recently, I worked for Nationstar Mortgage in Lewisville, Texas. The mortgage industry is highly complicated and very complex, but I learned more than I thought possible during my time there. I enjoyed learning a new system and a different skill set, and I was very grateful to have worked with very intelligent and motivated people. I need the work I do to energize me, and I work best in a dynamic environment, which the mortgage industry provided. I only worked there for a short two months because I moved to Austin. I very much look forward to the opportunity to continue my professional growth in new work in a new environment.
